I designed a book cover for a typography book entitled "Type". Typography book design typically accentuates the unique characteristics of type characters. I desired to achieve this dynamic effect by utilizing various different typefaces within a monochromatic color scheme. In the final packaging of the book cover, I utilized a transparent print that reveals the different typefaces while the second fold reveals the title of the book and author's name.

Typography book design tends to be very dynamic yet simplistic in nature, therefore, I was met with the obstacle of relying on these principles while also intending to communicate the subject of the book without necessarily reading the title. The viewer should be able to understand immediately what the book is about, without any context. I was able to enhance my visual language practices and explore new and innovative solutions to design.
